Regular Member of the OpenJS Foundation Cross Project Council

The OpenJS Foundation Cross Project Council (CPC) serves as the technical governing body of the OpenJS Foundation. Its responsibilities and mission are outlined in the CPC Charter.

CPC Scope

The CPC’s core role is to cultivate an environment of collaboration across OpenJS Foundation projects, collaborative spaces, and the broader JavaScript community. While the CPC operates autonomously, any changes to its scope require agreement from the OpenJS Foundation Board.

OpenJS Collaboration Spaces

The following are the official OpenJS Collaboration spaces:

• Open Visualization (OpenVis): JavaScript and WebGL-based visualization libraries
• Package Metadata Interop: Interoperability of package.json metadata across the JS ecosystem
• Package Vulnerability Management & Reporting: Managing and reporting package vulnerabilities
• Security: Foundation security documentation and coordination

My Participation

• Joined the OpenJS Foundation Cross Project Council in Feb '24 as a Regular Member
• Engaged as a participant in the Security Collaboration Space
• Conducted research and participated in discussions on SBOM (Software Bill of Materials)
• Contributed to discussions on defining the Emeritus Stage for projects
• Participated in discussions shaping the Express.js forward plan
• Submitted a request to grant the Express Project impact status
• Researched CHAOSS metrics and additional tooling for enhancing project tracking and community support
• Led the creation of a dedicated collab space for sustainability
• Appointed as Voting Member for At-Large Project Representatives starting Nov '24 (details)
• Actively contributing to multiple initiatives: pull requests, commits, and issues
